Easy Oven-Baked BBQ Ribs Recipe

Satisfy your family’s craving for BBQ all year round with a mouth-watering beef or pork ribs recipe that doesn’t require a grill or charcoal. With a flavorful rub on the front end and a sweet and zesty sauce added at the end, it’s the perfect way to make ribs in the oven for dinner any night of the week or to enjoy at a summer cookout.

 

INGREDIENTS:

• 1 Tbsp packed brown sugar

• 1 Tbsp paprika

• 1 tsp kosher salt

• 1 tsp garlic

• 1/2 tsp dry mustard

• 1/2 tsp celery salt

• 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper

• 5 to 6 pounds meaty beef back ribs or pork loin back ribs

• Kansas City BBQ Sauce or your favorite bottled sauce

BEST OVEN-BAKED BBQ RIBS INSTRUCTIONS:

1. For rub: In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, paprika, salt, garlic powder, dry mustard, celery salt and cayenne pepper. Sprinkle rub evenly over ribs; rub in with your fingers.

2. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Place prepped ribs into a large metal baking dish and cover tightly with foil. Bake ribs for up to 3 hours reserving the last 15 minutes to remove foil, brush with BBQ sauce and allow to bake uncovered for a crispy, sizzling finish.

3. Serve ribs with remaining sauce and be sure to keep a pack of your favorite Vanity Fair® Extra Absorbent Paper Napkins on hand for wiping faces and sticky fingers!

KANSAS CITY BBQ SAUCE INGREDIENTS:

• 1/2 cup finely chopped onion

• 2 cloves garlic, minced

• 1 Tbsp olive oil

3/4 cup apple juice

• 1/2 6-ounce can (1/3 cup) tomato

• 1/4 cup cider vinegar

• 2 Tbsp packed brown sugar

• 2 Tbsp molasses

• 1 Tbsp paprika

• 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce

• 1 tsp kosher salt

• 1/2 tsp black pepper

• 1 Tbsp prepared horseradish.

KANSAS CITY BBQ SAUCE INSTRUCTIONS:

In a medium saucepan, cook onion and garlic in hot olive oil until onion is tender. Stir in apple juice, tomato paste, vinegar, brown sugar, molasses, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, salt and black pepper. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, about 30 minutes or until sauce is desired consistency, stirring occasionally. Stir in horseradish.
